Use PuzzleTableFit as a reproducible worksheet for jigsaw puzzle planning. Start with the question the tool actually models, then keep its inputs and assumptions visible.
Follow the input sequence
- Measure the flat usable tabletop rather than the furniture’s outer edge.
- Copy finished puzzle dimensions from the exact product.
- Choose a working border and keep its per-side meaning explicit.
- Review both orientations and plan sorting trays outside this rectangle.
Read the result in context
A 68 × 49 cm puzzle with a 10 cm working border requires 88 × 69 cm. It fits a 100 × 70 cm usable surface in the normal orientation, leaving 12 cm extra width and 1 cm extra depth after that border. Rotating this example requires 69 × 88 cm and does not fit the same table depth.
A rectangular space comparison, not a measurement of your product. Use the actual published or measured finished dimensions and allow for frames, trays, table edges and production variation.
Keep your own record
Calculator numbers are not saved by the theme. Copy or print the record you need before closing the page. Reset restores the example, and a blank or invalid input produces an error message. The calculator requires JavaScript for live results; its written formula remains readable without it.
